Productions, a Canadian based CG animation and visual effects facility
located in downtown Toronto is looking for a Recruitment Manager to join
our team. With over 250 artists and technical directors and the most up
to date resources available, we bring the vision to both major
Hollywood studios and independent producers to life in a wide array of
formats: theatrical features, television, DVDs, shorts and game
cinematics.
REPORTS TO: HR Director
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Recruitment Manager works with various stakeholders to determine
studio-wide recruiting requirements and to devise strategic and tactical
plans to meet hiring objectives. This role is responsible for filling
production and overhead roles, and for managing one or more recruiters
in doing the same. The Recruitment Manager is also responsible for
managing job postings and for ensuring accurate and optimized use of the
studio's recruitment tools. This position plans and manages recruitment
events and offsite events, and works with the HR Director and HR team
on school outreach activities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with producers, hiring managers, Head of HR and Head of
Production to determine studio-wide recruiting requirements and devise
the best possible plan for meeting hiring objectives
• Manage own slate of open positions for all studio roles - production and overhead
• Manage team of 1-2 recruiters (on-site and/or remotely)
• Assign workload and track progress
• Ensure that recruiters are meeting all deadlines
• Ensure that there is a constant pipeline of qualified candidates for open positions

Prepare recruitment forecast with HR Director and Head of Production
• Take part in weekly recruiting meeting
• Prepare appropriate reports and ensure that recruiting team is keeping reporting activity up to date
• Plan and manage recruitment events and offsite visits (i.e. recruiting trips, school visits, and in-house events)
• Work with Head of HR on school outreach activities, specifically as they relate to recruiting and future staffing initiatives
• Manage job postings on both Arc Productions website and on various
external job boards, ensuring adherence to approved advertising budget
• Review and update recruitment policies and processes as required
• Ensure accurate and optimized use of recruitment tools (i.e. database, applicant tracking system)
REQUIRED SKILLS &
• 8+ years recruiting experience in a creative industry with previous experience managing a team
• Must have extensive experience working with ATS or HRIS and generating reports from these software platforms and from excel.
• Completed post-secondary education in relevant area of study
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure
• High level of resourcefulness and a cost-effective thinker
• Strong knowledge of applicable Human Rights and Employment Laws
