University’s highly interdisciplinary Department of Theatre, Film and
Television was founded in 2006, and moved into a superb, £30m purpose-designed
facility in 2010. We are now seeking to enhance our research and teaching in
discipline-specific fields while strengthening and expanding our
interdisciplinary work across interactive media, film, television and theatre.
The Department is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Image
Processing to contribute to research and teaching across both film and
television production and interactive media. Our programmes include a BSc in
Film and Television Production, a BSc in Interactive Media, an MA in Digital
Film and Television Production, an MA/MSc in Postproduction with Visual Effects
and an MA/MSc in Postproduction with Sound Design, most of which are Creative
Skillset accredited, and undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Theatre.
There is also a thriving community of research students.
You should have a PhD in a relevant subject or equivalent
professional experience; have experience of teaching film and television
production and/or interactive media at HE level; as well as a strong record as
a researcher.
Salary will be within the range of £37,394 - £45,954 a
year.
