Story and Mission Writer

Job Responsibilities:

Gearbox Software is looking for a Story & Mission Writer to oversee and direct the development of story and plot for a AAA title. The position will be responsible for outlining plot in addition to writing dialog and in-game text. Further responsibilities include bringing strong story ideas that can translate into interesting game experiences as well as adding context and flavor to the ideas of other team members.

Required Skills

• Strong ability to collaborate with other creative people from all disciplines
• Excellent writer of entertaining and interesting dialog and characters
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong background in comedic or satiric writing
• Published work in video games, comic books, web-based material, TV, or film
• Desire to work with an experienced team of creative professionals
• Must be local or willing to relocate to the Dallas area
