Job Description
The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating and managing the
media related to marketing and publicity of the feature films in
production. As a part of the Media Services Team, the Artist follows an
established protocol and utilizes in-house developed tools and scripts
for the tracking, processing, distribution and backup of all promotional
media. The Artist is also responsible for creating, modifying,
curating, and cleaning up images for use in marketing.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the Marketing Database with digital files,
(photography, illustrations, logo art, typestyles, various format video
files, etc.)
- Curate and publish marketing materials, as they are collected
- Responsible for ensuring the correct assets are used in all marketing media created or shared
- Work with the Production graphic leads and illustrators to ensure custom created content remains on style
- Assist the marketing photographer/videographer on clean up and finishing of captured media
- Service requests from all departments for access to any approved
publicity imagery that they may require for keynotes and presentations
- Assists the Media Services team in various ad hoc projects, stays on
top of current design trends and technologies and maintains a high
skill level in digital content creation software systems
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience working in graphic design, demonstrating
knowledge of production and design from concept through production.
- Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with primary focus on Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Strong design fundamentals; solid typography, composition and obsessive attention to detail
- Graphic Design degree or completed course of study from an accredited university
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and work well within a team and independently.
- Self-motivated, shows initiative and is a quick learner.
- Must possess enthusiasm for helping on all aspects of marketing and graphic design projects.
- Experience with editing and cutting together footage for presentation
- Experience with Linux and Mac OS X
Job Conditions
This position works under normal film production conditions, the
pressure of deadlines may sometimes be intense, requiring the
flexibility to work long hours which may include weekends upon request.
