Description
Bluepoint is
looking for a VFX ARTIST to join our team on a contract basis as we work on our
latest project. Help us remaster a
highly-acclaimed franchise on a current generation console. The work is expected
to take approximately 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
-- Learn and
master a proprietary game engine effects pipeline
-- Modify
existing particle effects to a higher level of quality
-- Improve
particle motion, increase particle counts, and add new sub systems to increase
detail
-- Create higher
quality texture maps from lower-resolution source
-- Apply and
modify current generation material techniques
-- Create
high-quality current generation effects models from lower-resolution geometry
-- Maintain
original VFX game functionality
Requirements
-- Experience
with Unreal, Valve, Unity or proprietary game engine effect tools
-- Knowledge of
Maya Dynamics tools
-- Proficiency
with Photoshop for texturing
--Strong
understanding of game workflows and pipelines
-- At least 2
years of experience in the games industry
-- A portfolio
reflecting high-quality VFX game art
-- The ability to
work onsite at our facility in Austin, TX

available downloadable game on the PlayStation Network), and created its own
proprietary game engine (Bluepoint Engine). Our most recently-completed project
is the X360 version of Titanfall.
