Web Design, Instructor/Assistant Professor
Anne Arundel Community College is seeking a full-time, Instructor/
Assistant
Professor of Digital Design, with expertise in Web Design, beginning in
the Fall of 2015. Expertise in other areas of digital art or design is
desirable.
Master’s Degree in related digital art or design field,
with demonstrated professional experience teaching HTML 5, CSS3,
JavaScript, Adobe Software and user interface design in the classroom
required. Ability to teach a range of digital art courses. Design
fluency across range of digital art and design media with strengths in
web design.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as a
practicing designer with an established reputation and a significant
record of professional, creative and/or scholarly achievement. An
understanding of contemporary theoretical and historical concepts in art
and design, and the ability to encourage critical thinking and problem
solving. Experience with program assessment, curriculum design, and
demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others is highly
desirable.
