Paramount Animation, through its affiliate Animated Productions Inc., currently has exciting opportunities for a Lead Character Designer (Union) to join the animation team at our Hollywood, CA studio.

About:

The Lead Character Designer works under the supervision of the Production Designer and Art Director to lead the team of artists in the creation of art assets, and maintains the established aesthetics of the characters through the production process. This person set the tone for character creation and guides.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years professional experience required, Feature Animation experience preferred
• Traditional Fine Art Education, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent/ or 5 years work related experience
• Digital Paintings and portfolio which demonstrate a wide range of experience and technique with strong sense of design, and storytelling
• Ability build a cohesive case of characters that share a similar aesthetic
• Understand the technical difficulties of bringing a character design from concept to fruition
