The Jr. Photographer/Videographer is
responsible for taking the photographs and video of film sets, the fabrication
departments and other film related events that are used to create the press and
publicity for feature films. In some instances this content will need to
match the look and style of the feature that is being recorded. As a part
of the Media Services Team on the film, the Unit Photographer/Videographer
follows an established protocol and utilizes in–house developed tools and
scripts for the tracking, processing, distribution and backup all production
media. They are also responsible for curating, organizing, and cleaning
up images for use in marketing.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Take BTS photos/videos throughout the week in each
department.
- Work closely with the various production departments to
record the creation of assets from development to final fabrication
- In conjunction with the Marketing Coordinator, work
with the production team to find out when key moments would be happening during
the production, so we can document them without impacting the production
schedule.
- Talk with the Camera Department to find key locations
for set, to anticipate placement of camera.
- Organize and edit photos/video for marketing.
- Work with Media Services to upload and publish edited
material
- Work with the Media Services Manager and the Marketing
coordinator to ensure media has been collected on the various production
stories that have been determined.
- Photograph props, puppets and sets on the Marketing
unit, when reference is needed for each department.
- To help maintain the Marketing Database, publishing
marketing materials as they are collected
- Clean up and image manipulation of media in preparation
of final use.
- Work with Production to provide material for crew
meetings
- Responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of all
marketing equipment
Qualifications

Have good technical knowledge of photo-chemical and digital processes, and of
all camera equipment

Have a good sense of visual composition and perspective
·
Be highly-skilled in image-manipulation and image-management software
·
Have sensitivity and tact when working with Production
·
Be able to cope with the rejection of images
·
Be adaptable and patient
·
Pay close attention to detail
·
Possess good organizational skills
·
Be able to work quickly under pressure
·
Have excellent communication skills
·
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and demonstrated skill with image cleanup
tasks
·
Experience with editing software and basic cutting of footage
·
Demonstrated ability to manage time according to current priorities in an
efficient manner.
Job Conditions
This position works under normal
film production conditions, the pressure of deadlines may sometimes be intense,
requiring the flexibility to work long hours, which may include weekends upon
request.
