Gameloft, the largest mobile-gaming development studio in Montreal, is seeking a Copywriter to join its Video team.

Gameloft creates video games for smartphones, feature phones and tablets, as well as new digital platforms like set-top boxes, Smart TVs, and HTML5 browsers. Founded in 1999 and a top innovator in its field, Gameloft distributes its games in over 100 countries. www.gameloft.com

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the producer, the selected candidate will be in charge of working on video post-production tasks, as relates primarily to projects developed by Divertissements Gameloft. The holder of this position will write story, dialogue and other game text and ensure its overall consistency, in collaboration with the other people involved in each video project.

• Understand the marketing goals and briefs in order to translate them into words
• Write the story to be used for reference by all departments involved
• Come up with a detailed description of the plot
• Come up with a detailed description of the characters
• Describe the setting, ambiance and atmosphere
• Structure the dialog in relationship to events
• Write scripts for cinematics
• Write any other required text (narration, titles, etc.)
• Work closely with the production team
• Ensure that reference documents are up to date
• Handle all other related tasks

Requirements

• A Diploma of College Studies in the humanities, or any equivalent training
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in scriptwriting
• Experience in video production is an asset                                            

Skills

• Mastery of English and French, both spoken and written
• Strong knowledge of the post-production process
• Knowledge of the video production process is an asset
• Strong knowledge of the jargon and processes used in video production
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
