Description
The department of Radio/TV/Film at Northwestern University’s
School of Communication is seeking two full-time lecturers in media production,
in the areas of 1) sound production/postproduction and 2) interactive media.
The positions involve contributing to a robust undergraduate curriculum, to our
MFA in Documentary Media, and to developing initiatives in interactive media
and sound studies.
For the sound production/postproduction position, expertise
in location sound recording, postproduction sound (Protools/Logic), and mixing
is required. Additional knowledge of ADR
practice, Foley sound, podcasts, audio dramas, soundscapes, sound for
interactive platforms, sound processing, and composing music for media is
desired.
For the interactive media position, proficiency in game
design (Unity), projection mapping, physical computing, computer vision, motion
capture, Flash development, app development, and 3D animation (Maya) is
desirable.
Candidates should have a record of media production, a
terminal degree (MFA or PhD), and prior teaching experience. Appointment starts September 1, 2015, for a
one-year term with the possibility of renewal.
