Paramount Animation is
currently has exciting opportunities for an Associate Producer to join the
animation team at our Hollywood, CA studio.
About:
The
Associate Producer is responsible for strategic planning of the budget,
schedule and resources
for the front end production stage in the creation of digitally animated
feature films.
The Associate Producer’s responsibilities begin during the development phase of
the project
and extend into the post-production and marketing phases.
The
Associate Producer leads a crew of 50+ and directly manages communication to a
variety of cross-functional teams. The Associate Producer functions as a
tactical advisor to the Producer and co-manages the Head of Story, Editor and Production
Designer, enabling their pursuit of creative excellence. In addition, the
Associate Producer interfaces with Studio leadership and their counterparts on
other productions.
Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to, schedule, budget, operations, resource and
staffing plans, as well as crew communication. The Associate Producer partners
with the Production Leadership to ensure budget/schedule and production
realities stay in sync. The Associate Producer is ultimately accountable for
delivery of high quality production images within the budget and on schedule.
The
Associate Producer must be a deft and nimble problem solver, able to balance
competing demands, anticipate problems and plan for contingencies. The
Associate Producer is a strategist and leader, able to rally people around
ideas and action plans.
Duties:
- Responsible for
casting and staffing of production teams of 50+
- Responsible for
creating budgets and financial tracking of project
- Responsible for
production resource plans and acts as resource wrangler between show and studio
- Function as
tactical consultant to the Producer, offering suggestions and alternatives to
push their creative vision within production and budget constraints
- Responsible for
overall schedule; partnering with the Producer to ensure creative requests are
prioritized and can be accomplished within the production schedule
- Work closely
with Production Management and Team Leadership to ensure high level objectives
are clearly understood and communicated to crew
- Responsible for
providing guidance, experience, insight and inspiration to the crew at large
- Primary
responsibility for maintaining a positive and collaborative working environment
- Deliver reviews
and assist in career development of direct reports, ensuring excellence within the
group is fostered and acknowledged
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years in progressive animation production
management roles on feature film(s).
- Demonstrated ability to successfully schedule and
execute on all aspects of feature films.
- Thorough knowledge of industry-wide data and asset
management tracking tools and applications (i.e. Shotgun).
- Prior experience working directly with creative
leadership and talent
- Prior experience working with a remote studio and
remote tools a plus
- Must be willing to travel abroad on an as-needed basis
