Career Education Corporation is seeking an outstanding Front-End Web Developer to conceptualize, build and maintain our web properties. As a Front End Web Developer with Career Education Corporation you will use your exceptional web development skills to drive sophisticated online marketing initiatives. As a member of our world-class digital marketing team you will provide innovative and inspired work and will have the opportunity to create new web assets and improve the functionality of existing sites based on the results of our testing. Job is located in Schaumburg, IL.

The ideal candidate:

• Works in Content Management Systems (Sitecore preferred) to deliver leading edge user experience
• Is a problem-solver at heart, finding ways to express complex ideas through intuitive design
• Has strong knowledge of design principles, typography, user interfaces, Web standards and usability
• Thrives within a data-driven design culture and can quickly react to changes and new feature requirements driven by user analytics

• Required Experience and Education:
  
• Bachelor’s degree from an institution of higher education accredited by an accreditor recognized by the U.S. Dept of Education, CHEA, or international equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience working with enterprise-grade content management systems (Sitecore experience a plus)
• 3+ years of professional HTML/CSS experience
• Proficiency in JavaScript/jQuery and other scripting languages
• Knowledge and understanding of best practices in web communications, user experience, and digital publishing
• Understanding of multivariate & a/b testing principles
• Experience with analytics (Google and/or Adobe Analytics a plus)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Comfort juggling multiple tasks and working on deadline
• Consuming restful services desired (not necessarily required)
