Agile Project Manager / ScrumMaster

Engineering | Mountain View, CA / Mid-Peninsula

You’ll begin by working on a cutting-edge Google ATAP project creating a new content-authoring and delivery environment for artists, driven and being used by former Pixar animators and directors. Initially you will be located at Google's main campus in Mountain View, with your permanent DigitalFish office located mid-Peninsula. Some of our other partners include LEGO, NASA, Pixar and DreamWorks, and you can expect to intersect with these other projects over time.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly understand, manage and communicate stakeholder requirements to appropriate team members.
• Establish clear ownership for project tasks, ensure that team members have the tools needed, and provide timely feedback.
• Coordinate and facilitate delivery of project objectives.
• Track progress and review project tasks to make certain deadlines are met appropriately.
• Assess project issues and identify solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer goals.
• Proactively communicate project status, issues and risks to management, customers and team members.
• Follow established policies, procedures and methodologies.
• Conduct regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholders' needs and requirements continuously in view.
• Work collaboratively with development and support staff to maintain thorough knowledge of product capabilities and to ensure that communications between development and its stakeholders are precise and well documented.

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ yrs professional experience and a Bachelors degree
• Agile/Scrum experience both as team member and facilitator
• Good understanding of Agile best practices for software development teams
• Established track record of managing or coordinating software development projects
• Experience delivering finished products to paying customers
• Experience in developing project management operating procedures and work instructions
• Experience using software project management and issue tracking systems

Bonus Qualifications

• BS/BA in a technical field
• ScrumMaster training or certification
• Experience using Agile project tracking systems such as JIRA GreenHopper or RallyDev
• People management experience in a projectized team environment
• Experience managing or coordinating programs (collections of coordinated projects) or working within a program-managed environment
