­Moonbot Studios is a multi-platform storytelling studio specializing in feature-quality animation, book publishing, games and mobile app development.  Moonbot employs a select group of animators, digital artists, programmers and developers who produce award-winning films, books and digital media. 

Job Title:    Lighting and Compositing Artist

Job Hours:    Full-Time

Job Summary:

Our ideal Lighting & Compositing Artist candidate will have strong technical skills with a good artistic eye. He or she will implement and enhance the art direction given by lighting characters and environments for assigned shots. This individual will have the ability to light multiple types of scenes of varying complexities and verify their shots fit the continuity of the sequence.

 Skills/Abilities/Education:

• Must have 2+ years experience lighting in the film/commercial industry
• Thorough knowledge and experience with lighting in Maya, using the Arnold renderer, and compositing in Nuke
• Experience with modeling, shading and texturing a plus
• Ability to troubleshoot and navigate technical errors in assigned scenes
• Experience with the Arnold SDK, Nuke SDK and Python a plus
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet required deadlines
• Experience working in a collaborative environment and taking direction
• Must take initiative in handling assigned duties and additional tasks which will aid the function of the organization
• Must be flexible.
