Character Animator

Description

WINEstudios in Sendai, Japan is finishing up its Sixth year of production of an animated children’s series and we are currently looking to expand our character animation team.

·       We are looking for Character Animators with experience keyframe animating cartoony biped and quadruped animal characters.

·       A strong understanding of motion, weight, emotion, acting and timing.

·       Problem solving skills with the ability to think outside the box and find new innovative ways of tackling complex animation problems.

·       The ability to take direction well.

·       Must be able to meet tight production deadlines.

This is a Full-time position with a 1-2 year contract.

Must have a minimum of 3+ years of previous film or television experience as a Character Animator working in Softimage, Maya or 3d Max and a COLLEGE DEGREE (to qualify for a working visa for Japan).

Must be willing to relocate and commit to 1-2 years living in Japan. We cover transportation costs as well as help you get settled in Japan.
