BioLucid, a developer of immersive 3D
software, mobile games/simsand a revolutionary medical visualization product,
is seeking a highly experienced, motivated, and knowledgeable Sr. Artist to
work under the direction of our Art Director to help lead our development team
in their artistic and tech-art efforts in our Sarasota, FL studio.
BioLucid is a stable and expanding
global company, and industry leader in a sector just beginning to hit the
mainstream. Interest in science, health, anatomy, and a desire to help
communicate concepts visually, is a must.

Responsibilities:
The Ideal Candidate will:
· Be an experienced UNITY user
Create real time art that is of the
highest possible visual quality.
· Work closely with the art team and
recognize and identify visual strengths and weaknesses of projects and help to
provide appropriate solutions.
· Lead by example; motivate and support
the team of 3D artists.
· Participate with creative direction on
all projects undertaken.
· Will be responsible to organize all
art assets on perforce, and help facilitate a more efficient art content
creation pipeline.
· Will assist artists’ growth through
professional development and mentoring on projects.
· Report directly to Art Director on
overall studio progress and status weekly.
· Will suggest the creation of tools and
shaders in Unity to build a more efficient art pipeline
· Attend all weekly studio art reviews
and art meetings (when needed).
· Will demonstrate reliability,
professionalism and dedication.
· Help maintain a positive, happy work
environment for everyone in the studio.
Requirements/Skills Desired
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred; will
consider equivalent experience.
· Solid 3D real time artist 3-5 years’
experience A MUST, must have an animation background along with knowledge of modeling
, shading, and texturing, lighting and rigging experience a plus.
· Minimum 3 years of UNITY3D experience
A MUST
· Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience on AAA
application or video game development.
· Minimum 3 - 5 years Maya or 3D
software experience.
· Working knowledge of Zbrush minimum
2-3 years.
· Experience developing PC, Mobile and
Tablet applications or games in Unity 3D.
· Experience as a senior artist or
similar a plus
· Must have process improvement skills
· Excellent interpersonal, communication
and presentation skills
· Must be strong team player
· Must be a creative self-starter, who
is self-managed, highly motivated, and detail oriented
· Must be flexible and have the ability
to work under tight deadlines on multiple projects.
· Must have ability to direct and multi
task effectively, while balancing the impact of deadlines and resources
with changes to product and quality requirements
· Must have ability to solve complex
creative problems efficiently and quickly.
· Experience with Substance Designer a
plus
· Experience with PC, Augmented reality,
Virtual Reality or Console game development a plus
· Interest in science, health, anatomy,
and a desire to help communicate concepts visually, is a must.
