Description
Wargaming Seattle is looking for a talented and creative
technical artist to join our growing team. As a Senior Technical Artist,
you will help define, improve and develop our current and future game
development technologies. You will work closely with Engineers, Designers and
Artists to squeeze the most out of our engine and tools for amazing results.
Responsibilities:

Bring technical mastery to bridge the art, design and engineering teams:
integrate and optimize art production tools
·
Work closely with artists and designers to continuously improve or
create custom tools, asset creation pipelines and workflows
·
Set strong development standards and educate artists and designers on
tools usage and best practices
·
Research and integrate new technology into art production methods
·
Integrate and set up art resources for in-game use
Requirements:
Outstanding Technical Art skills demonstrated through a
strong portfolio that shows:
·
Usable or demonstrated custom scripts and tools that provide art utility
in Maya or 3dsMax
·
Technical proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, MEL,
MaxScript, C# or C++
·
Competent modeling and texturing skills with Maya or 3D Studio Max and
Photoshop
·
Organized team player with great communication skills and open to
creative feedback
·
Solid technical writing skills, patient and friendly demeanor;
enthusiastic instructor and technophile
·
Self-motivated, creative and optimistic problem solver; solid time
management
Desirable:
·
Experience with node-based materials or HLSL
·
Familiarity with real-time lighting technology and techniques
·
Passion for videogames and game development
