General Manager - Toronto
Stereo D is the recognized leader in
high-quality conversions of 2D theatrical content into stereoscopic 3D imagery,
working with major motion picture studios, directors, cinematographers, and VFX
supervisors to bring their vision of 3D storytelling to the screen. Stereo D
has completed work for such films as GUARDIANS of the GALAXY, HERCULES, GODZILLA,
NEED FOR SPEED, JURASSIC PARK, IRON MAN 3, STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS,
and TITANIC in 3D to name a few. The company also provides
end-to-end 3D production services on feature films, television productions and

We currently have an opening for a General Manager, VP/International
Production.
Based in the Toronto,
Ontario studio of Stereo D, this position is responsible for the management of
the Toronto facility, including but not limited to all employee’s and policies
and the following departments; production, administration, HR, finance,
production technology. Position reports to both the Chief Operating Officer and
Chief Creative Officer of Stereo D.
Work with Sr. Team to lead the
strategic and business planning of the Toronto studio. Deliver Production
Management strategy that supports the day to day operation of productions but
also the longer-term objectives for growth and efficiency. This will include
shaping and planning production activity, managing financial performance,
capital expenditure requirements, staffing needs, employee relations and identifying
operational risk.
Deliver multiple, often
concurrent projects; on time or early, on or under budget, all while exceeding
creative objectives and expectations.
Participate in new business
opportunities as required, developing proposals and scope of work.
Collaborate with GM,
VP/International Production – Pune on project assignments, resolve workflow and
communication issues. Select Toronto crew to be stationed in Pune as trainers
and potential opportunities for Pune crew in Toronto.
Work with overseas management and
Toronto department heads in the development of workflow and tools. Identify and
manage subcontract vendors in order to maximize efficiencies and reduce labor
and overhead costs. Manage all local relationships including the landlord,
representatives of key vendors and government agencies.
