3D Generalist – Senior Level

MediaLab 3D Solutions is the leader in digital asset creation and interactive solutions for the consumer product and architectural design industries. Today, MediaLab continues to keep its clients on the competitive edge by transforming traditional visualizations into 3D animations and interactive presentations proven to increase consumer engagement.

We are looking for passionate and capable artists to join our growing team. Successful candidates will be part of a fast-paced team dedicated to creating amazing art. This position will be responsible for creating photorealistic renderings, animations, performing image retouching, and compositing work as needed. Very strong understanding of lighting, rendering, modeling, compositing, color, and photo manipulation is required. Foundational knowledge of these topics is more important than specific experience with our tools.

What we are looking for

• Graduate with a 4-year degree from an accredited college or university
• Industry experience of 8 or more years
• Ego free, comfortable working with frequent feedback from customers and internal sources
• Enjoys mentoring Jr. production staff
• Confident in speaking up about ideas and suggestions
• Comprehensive knowledge of linear workflows,  photo-real lighting, optimized modeling, and  texturing
• Comfortable working with CAD data as source material for 3D Geometry
• Comfortable working with and creating complex shaders, materials, and maps
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment
• Knowledge of 3DS Max, V-Ray, AfterEffects, Premiere, and Photoshop is a plus

Bonus abilities and knowledge

• V-Ray, compositing, and VFX work in your demo reel
• Working knowledge of Thinkbox Deadline
