Apple’s Maps Evaluation and Performance Group is seeking a fantastic full stack web developer to help the Apple Maps team create and deploy amazing products for our iOS and Mac customers.
Description:
As a web developer on the Maps team, you have the opportunity to build web-based tools and applications supporting many different teams to improve the quality and experience of Maps. You will work with engineers and statisticians to build tools that improve a core product that touches millions of users worldwide each day.
Key Qualifications:
•Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining large scale test frameworks
•Experience with at least one major language suited to web programming (such as Python, Ruby, Java, Scala, or JavaScript)
•Familiarity with at least one web application framework (such as Rails, Django, or Play)
•Expertise in modern web development using JavaScript, HTML5, and libraries such as Bootstrap,
• Angular, JQuery, or D3.
•Strong understanding of data modeling and storage with NoSQL and relational DBs
•Solid understanding of performance testing, improvement techniques and caching solutions
•Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
•Excellent collaborative skill
•Attention to detail
•Comfortable working in a loosely structured organization
•Highly professional, with the ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules
Education:
BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering
Additional Requirements:
Python development is a plus
C++ and Objective-C programming experience is a plus.
