development of many successful titles on iPhone such as the Modern Combat,
Dungeon Hunter, Gangstar and Asphalt franchises, Gameloft Montreal is currently
seeking a Lead Online Programmer to collaborate on its next generation of
iPhone, iPad and Android games.

digital platforms, including mobile phones, smartphones and tablets (including
Apple® iOS and Android® devices), set-top boxes and connected TVs. Founded in

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Technical Director, the successful
candidate will be in charge of the Online development team dedicated to our
games developed in Montreal. The Montreal Online team develops real, scalable
applications and distributes systems with complex logic.
- Supervise the team of online developers
- Organize tasks, determine priorities and assign the right person to
each task
- Manage deadlines and unforeseen events
- Supervise the design of new features
- Develop, fix and maintain services, libraries and tools that support
online multiplayer games
- Work closely with the World Online team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer
engineering or similar fields, or equivalent experience
- Experience in object-oriented, network-related
development in Java, C/C++, Python or Ruby
- Knowledge and experience in online,
server and network programming

At least 2
years of professional experience in developing and launching online multiplayer
games
·
At least 1
year of experience as a lead programmer or team leader
·
Excellent
knowledge of MySQL and database optimization techniques
Skills and Profile
- Excellent organization and planning skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership
- Excellent knowledge of source control tools (such as Subversion,
Mercurial, Git, etc.)
- Knowledge of iPhone/iPad technology
- Experience in the video game industry
- Good written and spoken English (an asset)
