Description:
The Maps team is looking for a strong leader to manage navigation feature development on iOS Maps. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing high quality, robust, and maintainable software in a leadership roll. You are passionate about maps and navigation, and are dedicated to delivering an intuitive and polished user experience.

The navigation team is responsible for the turn-by-turn navigation experience on iOS devices. We focus on challenges such as routing service interactions, traffic and ETA monitoring, map-matching, guidance prompts, audio quality, and internationalization. As manager of this team, you will lead a team of engineers in maintaining and building navigation features, and interact frequently with other service and iOS teams providing the foundation for these features.

Key Qualifications:
•Experience in software engineering management or software lead role
•Experience developing navigation software
•Strong object-oriented programming and software design skills
•Knowledge of Objective-C or C++
•Passion for product quality and attention to detail
•Excellent communication and collaborative skills

Education:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Additional Requirements:
- Experience with the iOS SDK and Cocoa programming
- Knowledge of graph theory and routing algorithms
- Strong mathematical and computational geometry background
- Familiarity with map matching from GPS and other location data
