Tools Software Engineer
Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Tools Software Engineer to join our engineering team. This individual will regularly engage and communicate with a variety of developers including artists, designers, programmer and producers to understand workflow and feature needs to produce the most effective tools to maximize productivity. We create games with fast-paced action and cutting-edge technology. Specific duties will vary depending on the skill-set of the successful applicant.
- Analyze content creators’ workflow and develop tools to improve iteration time.
- Help make our existing art and design tools more usable and elegant.
- Profile and optimize tool performance issues.
- Fix bugs in the tool suite.
- Work with QA team to ensure automated test coverage of tool features.
- Evangelize tools with how-to documentation and instructional videos.
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics or Engineering.
- Deep knowledge of C++ and STL.
- Fluency in C#.
- Proficiency with SQL.
- Mastery of MFC and Win32 tools development.
- Excellent communications skills.
- An uncompromising passion for quality.
Pluses:
- Experience in Python, LUA.
- Experience creating plugins for Maya, Photoshop, and Flash.
- Experience in Flex, WPF.
