Unity3d programmer
Description
Spark Unlimited is looking for a motivated and experienced Unity3d programmer to join one of our mobile game development teams currently in full production. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of the latest trends in online, mobile, and social game development. You will use your proven abilities to deliver quality code within short cycles in an environment that is agile, fast-paced, and flexible. In addition to experience with Unity, the ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of software principles and pipelines, possessing the talent and passion to create and implement the highest quality mobile games.
Responsibilities:
• Write well-architected and robust code in a game development environment.
• Develop and maintain systems for 3D gameplay, touch-based player controls and sophisticated UI.
• Deliver high performance code through profiling and optimization and ensure that the game’s vision is realized optimally.
• Deliver work on time within a tight schedule.
• Cultivate a positive team dynamic and exhibit a professional attitude, demonstrating a good balance between creativity and practical flexibility.
• Work collaboratively with all levels of the development team, including active participation in Spark’s agile development process.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an engineer in Game Development environments, with multiple released mobile or social games strongly preferred.
• Ability to participate in gameplay design and creatively implement design specifications.
• Takes a highly collaborative approach to development, with a willingness to assist in all areas.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work across multiple disciplines to gather feedback and address cross-functional design issues.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Solid iOS development experience.
• Android platform experience.
• GLSL/Cg/ShaderLab experience.
• Server-side languages and architecture (HTML, JavaScript with Node.JS/Express, SQL).
• NGUI experience
