As our Senior Texture Artist (m/f) you will be responsible for producing high quality texture maps for our trailers and games. You will also be jointly responsible for ensuring a coherent style is maintained and for the graphic design of our products, working closely with our modeling, lighting, and technical artists.
Your job:
- Create high quality texture maps (bump, specular, diffuse, normal, ambient occlusion, reflection und environmental maps) for our trailers and games
- Support and advise our art department
- Provide technical support to other 3D and texture artists
- Collaborate closely with our 3D team and our technical, lighting, and modeling specialists
- Ensure that our products maintain a consistent style
- Support efforts to optimize processes within the art department
- Provide feedback to all departments involved, and give technical guidance/mentoring to the texture art team
Your profile:
- Several years’ in-depth professional experience as a 3D artist or texture artist or in similar fields, ideally in the gaming industry
- Several years’ in-depth experience creating photo-realistic and hand-drawn textures
- Keen sense of color, proportion and perspective
- Outstanding illustration and traditional drawing skills
- Very good knowledge of Maya and/or other well known 3D software packages as well as Photoshop
- Knowledge of ZBrush, Mudbox, nDo, XNormal, or 3D Coat is advantageous
- Highly knowledgeable about current industry standards above all regarding software, and aware of emerging trends
- Good written and spoken English
- Passion for gaming
- A valid work and residence permit is required prior to commencement of employment
