Job Description:
We just released our latest mobile
title, Tales of Honor for iOS. This free
to play sci-fi strategy game has you leading your crew through a series of
heart-stopping naval battles across the outer reaches of space. The game is
based on the popular Honor Harrington series of novels by acclaimed author
David Weber.
We have a small live team that is
continuing to add features and content to the game. We are looking for an experienced programmer
who would love to join this team. The
person that we're looking for is well organized, self-motivated and passionate
about games. Work will include
Networking, Tools, Game Systems, Optimization and other areas. As work on this project tapers off you’ll be
shifting to other projects currently in development.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement
solutions for an improved experience for the end user
- Collaborate with programmers,
designers and artists on new features and content
- Support and improve live and
development servers and databases
- Test and release Android
version of game
- Iterate existing tools and technology
pipeline
- Development work is with the Unity
engine
- Demonstrate and apply strong problem-solving
and debugging skills
- Communicate effectively with management
on both a project and studio level
- Perform other similar or related duties
as necessary
Minimum
qualifications:
·
BS in Computer Science or equivalent
professional experience
·
1-3 years professional C++ development
experience
·
Functional knowledge of common scripting
languages (lua, php, perl, javascript, actionscript preferred)
·
1 year efficient database development
experience or equivalent coursework
·
Clear understanding of high performance
software development methods
·
Ability to work with small teams in a fast
paced environment
Preferred
qualifications:

Game development experience
·
Source control system knowledge
·
LAMP development experience
·
C# knowledge
·
Cross platform mobile development
·
Experience integrating 3rd party products
into existing systems
