Senior Python Programmer

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

•    Implementing infrastructures to process massive amounts of requests in real time on our servers
•    Developing systems to store and handle terabytes of data
•    Implementing an ETL system to fill the company’s database
•    Developing data search scripts and implementing tools to visualize data as tables and graphs

Skills

•    Excellent Python programming skills
•    Excellent knowledge of SQL and good experience in NoSQL technology
•    Experience with Hadoop/Hive or equivalent is recommended
•    Good knowledge of web technology, including HTML, CSS and AJAX
•    Knowledge of business intelligence and data mining is an asset
•    Able to work in a team

Profile

•    University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics
•    3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in the field
•    Experience developing major and progressive server infrastructures
•    Experience developing complex web sites in Python
•    Good knowledge in spoken and written English
•    Good communication skills and able to integrate in a team quickly
•    Motivated, able to take initiative, flexible, calm
•    Passionate about new technology
