User Experience Designer
Description
Do you have a passion for creating websites
and mobile applications that are intuitive, usable, and elegant? As a UX
designer at Esri, you’ll work with developers and visual designers to
map out and deliver well-defined user experiences. In addition, you’ll
use your knowledge of research principles to conduct usability research
and reviews.
Responsibilities:
- Develop
design prototypes, wireframes, usage scenarios, information
architecture, usability, navigation maps, and other design documents
- Define
and create specifications for innovative user interfaces, for multiple
devices/platforms, with interaction styles and modes that result in
improved user productivity and engagement
- Effectively document and communicate design concepts and specifications
- Stay up to date on current trends in interaction design for web, mobile, desktop, and tablet apps
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's in HCI, computer science, engineering, or a related field
- Strong, demonstrated understanding of user-centered design methodology
- Demonstrated expertise in XHTML, CSS, modern web design techniques
- Experience creating
process flows, wireframes, and mockups to effectively conceptualize and
present detailed interaction behaviors
- Strong working knowledge
of and experience using tools such as Balsamiq, Axure, OmniGraffle,
Photoshop/Illustrator, and PowerPoint at various design stages
- Previous experience working and designing desktop, web, and mobile applications and solutions
- Ability to work in a cross functional team environment in an agile development process
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
- Experience collaborating and working closely with UX team members
- Experience communicating effectively to stakeholders
Recommended Qualifications:
- Experience with Sass, Less CSS, and other design development frameworks
- Experience working in Agile environment
- Project management skills and experience
