Our Render team are responsible for supporting the rendering pipeline and optimising the rendering process.
The Render TD will work with the Lighting Team to maintain efficiency throughout the rendering process. Day to day responsibilities will include working with the Leads and artists to troubleshoot long render times, erroring frames, flickering artefacts, and any other technical issues that may arise during the rendering process. The render TD would work along side fellow render TDs and other departments as a team to plan and optimize renders for upcoming shows.
Skills:
2+ years in either animation or visual effects is required
2+ years using RenderMan in a similar position is required
Experience with Katana is considered an asset.
Experience with troubleshooting and debugging RIB files is required
Shader writing considered an asset.
Degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics or a closely related field is considered an asset.
Good team work and communication is required.
