INSTRUCTOR
(Digital Media and Art)

Louisiana State University
LSU is looking for an energetic,
articulate, and accomplished industry professional to teach 3D modeling,
rigging, and animation for games, animation, and visual effects for a new
master's degree in Digital Media Arts and Engineering. Get in on the ground floor to help shape a
program that reflects current teaching methodology for a rapidly changing
industry.
Responsibilities will include:
-Course preparation; putting
together the building blocks for a world class digital media cross-discipline
program
-Work with program director to
oversee the development of curriculum including exit competencies from each
class
-Teach applied hands-on classes
which will include students from diverse backgrounds
-Participate in school activities
as it relates to the program
-Keep abreast of industry trends
Required Qualifications: Master's
degree or equivalent; experience with Games, Visual Effects, or Animation as a
senior level artist and at least ten years of industry and/or teaching
experience; basic knowledge of modeling, rigging, texturing, rendering and
animating 3D models in Maya or 3D Studio max. Preferred Qualifications: Master of Fine Arts or equivalent degree
in a related discipline; prior experience with teaching.
