Visual Analytics Product Engineer

help us build cutting-edge software and applications that enable ArcGIS
users to ask questions, perform analysis, and effectively present their
results.
Responsibilities:
- Drive
the design and implementation of interactive data exploration and
graphing functionality within the suite of ArcGIS products
- Gather
requirements from leading GIS industries to meet their needs for
visualizing data using charts, graphs, and other techniques
- Design, test, document, and support ArcGIS software to enhance overall product quality
- Collaborate with the Graphics and UI teams to design new software
- Give presentations and demonstrations of what users can create and how
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s in data visualization, information
design, GIS, computer science, geography, or related field, depending on
position level
- Solid understanding of the ArcGIS geoprocessing tool framework
- Experience with and understanding of applying GIS to solve real-world problems
- Ability to think critically about new functionality and user requirements
- Be detail oriented and a self-starter
- Excellent communication skills
Recommended Qualifications:
- Experience
using charting or graphing packages such as Matplotlib, Matlab,
TeeChart, FusionCharts, Tableau, Crystal Reports, etc.
- A high-level understanding of ArcGIS products
- Experience using Esri products to analyze and solve real world problems
- Experience using Python
