Position
Description:
To work in collaboration with the senior creative team members to help
produce visually engaging high-end CG, stereoscopic content. To ensure that the finished product reflects a
unified conceptual approach to the project and is consistent with the highest
standard production values.
Responsibilities:

Work
with the Director to fulfill and support his or her vision for the film
·
Partner
with the Producer to be sure expectations are kept within budget
·
To explore and present the visual direction for characters,
environments/sets, and props as a means to provide the roadmap for the modeling
teams during visual development, pre-production, and production while meeting
the highest of quality, aesthetically and technically
·
Oversee
the artistic staff and help cast appropriate talent within the department to
ensure artistic goals are met
·
Assist
with the creation of concept art, character designs, visual development,
background and animation reference, and technical construction guides
·
Produce
a Color Script for the movie
·
Lead
the Look Development team in defining 3D surface materials for all characters
and environments
·
Work
closely with the Lighting and Compositing team to ensure that the lighting,
rendering, and compositing of each shot conforms to established art direction
standards
·
Prepare
and present artistic material in art direction meetings, concept pitches,
department launches, and creative reviews for crew, studio, and executives
·
To work in adherence to budget and schedule constraints while
maintaining the show’s overall look and mood ;
·
Work
with the Director as well as the Marketing Division to create an artistic Style
Guide for the production of Nut Job 2 feature film
Position Requirements:
·
Master’s degree in Fine Art is desired
·
Six or more years of animation production
experience is required, or exceptional artistic skills in 3D
·
Proven digital and traditional abilities in
design, painting, illustration, and animation
·
Strong verbal, written, and presentation
skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly to small or large groups
·
Expert knowledge of Photoshop and working
knowledge of Maya is required
·
Must be able to quickly solve design
problems in groups or alone
·
Must be very strong with graphic design,
layout, and color theory
·
Must set and achieve high creative
standards
·
Must be organized and attentive to
deadlines
·
Must be passionate about the content that ToonBox
creates
