We
are currently seeking a full-time Art Director to lead creative teams of
designers and motion graphic artists.

the two. We make solid work built on solid ideas and we want you to help shape
our voice and position on the visual landscape.
You
must have a strong sense of story telling, a graceful touch with typography,
and most importantly, an impeccable sense of design. You must think in color
and dream of form. You smell like style. Your attention to detail is thorough,
and a radical conceptual symphony pours from your brain. You must be adept at
juggling multiple projects and excel in a fast-paced, deadline driven
environment. You must be ready to attack at a moments notice and make work that
defends itself. This is what we expect of our art directors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•
Create and present concepts, boards and style frames to clients.
•
Lead client creative reviews and serve as the client-facing creative lead on
projects.
•
Ability to facilitate brainstorming sessions.
•
Nurture and grow talent. Work closely with, lead, encourage and inspire a team
of staff and freelance designers and animators.
REQUIRED
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3-5 years experience
as a creative lead for broadcast and other video content.
• BFA or BA
degree with emphasis on motion design.
• Deep
understanding of fundamental visual design principles.
• Strong
design and typographic sense and thorough knowledge of motion graphic design
and post-production workflows.
• Highly
organized, self-motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities and strict
deadlines.
• Must be a
team player, passionate about motion design and thrive in a fast paced creative
environment.
• Excellent
written, verbal and presentation skills.
HUE&CRY
offers a respectable set of benefits and is interested in helping you grow as a
person and as a professional. We are in Richmond, VA. Richmond is charming,
relaxed city blossoming with artistic initiative and we want you here too.
