Production Assistant, Design (Temporary)          

From the moment we plugged in our first PC in October ’94, Monolith has been obsessed with combining stunning visuals, inventive narratives and cutting-edge technology to bring a distinctive gaming experience to both PC and console.  Starting with our first PC game, the terrifying, first-person action game Blood, straight through to our upcoming third-person action game Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, our passion for storytelling and dedication to creating unique gaming experiences continues to drive us to bring immersive gaming experiences to our fans. 

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is a next-generation, third-person action game set in Middle-earth that explores an original story of vengeance and redemption.  Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is in development for PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows PC.

Monolith Productions, a division of WB Games Inc., seeks motivated individuals to work closely with the Design and Production staff to help concept and implement compelling gameplay experiences.

·         Work with World Design and Art teams to concept and implement compelling gameplay experiences using proprietary WB tools and industry standard software.

·         Work closely with QA and Consumer Playtest groups to identify and resolve level design / Gameplay issues.

·         Investigate and resolve Gameplay issues identified by QA or team members during daily play through.

·         Help keep updated design documentation, including but not limited to the current status of quest distribution and event locations

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Work Experience

·         Experience working in the game industry preferred.

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

·         Experience with 3D tools (UnrealEd, Maya, Max, Hammer, Radiant or similar 3D editor).

·         Previous experience using Lua (or equivalent scripting language) a plus.

Knowledge/Skills

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·         Passion for games and game development.

·         Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.

·         Knowledge of the action/adventure and/or open world game genres.
