SYSTEMS ENGINEER #1654014 We are looking for a Systems Engineer with background in Linux systems administration to help manage our SW sanity test farm with hundreds of hosts and reference devices. Your duties will include troubleshooting HW and SW infrastructure issues together with our top engineers, supervising technicians, and managing the farm operations during your work hours. You will a member of an international team but working next to our labs at NVIDIA headquarters in Santa Clara. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Solid Linux systems administration experience - Hands-on work experience with PC hardware and devices/protocols such as USB, RS-232, SD-Cards, VGA, HDMI, Wifi, and SIM - A practical understanding of common network protocols and services, including TCP/IP, ARP, DNS, TFTP, BOOTP, SNMP, FTP, SMTP, NFS, and SSL - Very good scripting experience on shell (bash or zsh) - Good programming experience in at least one scripting language, Python preferred - Experience in a compiled language like C or C++, either in work or as a hobby MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - You feel comfortable contacting other people for help, info, and support - You can read and analyze logs and understand their limitations - You can troubleshoot and root cause infrastructure bugs that may baffle others - You take pride in running a well operating environment - You feel comfortable both taking orders and driving tasks independently - You document your work well, in code comments and in writing - You use one or more of the following tools: git, gerrit, P4, syslog, puppet, and nagios EOE
