RESEARCH SCIENTIST (GRAPHICS) #1650946 Develop algorithms and design hardware and software extending the state of the art in real-time computer graphics, display technology, user interface design, and other technology areas surrounding NVIDIA's business. Invent new techniques, technologies, methodologies, processes, and devices, to enable new products or product categories. Deliverable results include prototypes, patents, and publications. Produce technology vision and the basis for products 5-10 years out. Focus should not be on products currently shipping or in development, except as to how they can be extended and improved. Lecture / present at conferences, events, university colloquium and classes to present your research and promote education in the areas of graphics, human perception, parallel programming, hardware, and other areas relevant to NVIDIA's business and technology. Collaborate with external researchers (primarily University) to encourage mutually beneficial work, and support professors who are interested in teaching relevant classes. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Demonstrated research and/or industry innovation leadership in real-time 3D graphics and/or human perception. - PhD Degree in relevant discipline(s) (CS, CE, EE, Physics, Math) or MS Degree with 5+ years of relevant industry experience. - Relevant industries include hardware, software, and algorithm development in video game development, rendering software, visual effects in film, digital video or image processing, or display technology. - Passion for changing the future of graphics hardware and display technology. - Strong CPU, GPU rendering, and GPU compute programming ability.
