MATTE PAINTER

Description

Vancouver based The Sequence Group is looking for a Matte Painter to join our team. 

Candidate must have previously filed BC taxes as a resident but not necessarily be a citizen, permanent resident or landed immigrant.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate and interact with other departments including lighting and compositing
• Must understand 3D Camera Projections
• Must be able to translate 2D Paintings to 3D Geometry
• Interacts with other departments to ensure elements work in the sequence and provide continuity throughout
• Must be able to complete tasks within production deadlines
• Attention to detail is crucial
• Must be organized and be able to work within budget and time constraints
• Open and responsive to guidance and review notes from the production designer as well as creative and technical leadership

Experience and requirements:

• 2+ years of experience
• Animation Production experience a plus
• Strong knowledge of Photoshop, Maya and Vue
• Experience with 3D packages, modelling and projection painting is essential
• High skill level in painting, composition, perspective, and colour
