C++ Software Engineer

Description

Gener8 is a young company that has disrupted how 3D films in Hollywood are made. Our technology team has built a stereoscopic conversion pipeline that rivals the quality of films shot natively with stereo camera rigs. We are advancing our technology and have set up a small team to take approaches from computer vision and image processing research to incorporate into our conversion technology.

You are a recent Computer Science or Engineering graduate with strong math skills who loves to build tools in C++ and would like to work with a team of researchers and developers to build cutting-edge applications. You learn quickly and enjoy working with programmers and artists from diverse backgrounds. You are interested in a creative, fast-paced environment and want to build powerful easy to use tools for visual effects artists.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
• Experience gathering and understanding user requirements, and creating GUI-driven tools in C++ that fulfil those requirements
• Experience with some or all of the following: Qt (or other UI toolkits), OpenGL, Python
• Familiarity with film post-production pipelines and tools a plus
• Familiarity with computer graphics, computer vision, image processing, or similar algorithms a plus
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• 1 - 3 years relevant work experience
