Animator
Description

This role will report to the Senior Director of Motion Graphics
Responsibilities:
- Animate on-air promotional projects for TV Land under the direction of the Creative Director and Sr. Director of Motion Graphics
- Assist in the design and conceptualization of motion graphics for said promotional projects
- Assist the TV Land Creative Group in increasing the level of excellence in the production of on-air promotions
- Collaborate with Art Directors, Editors and Producers, in and out of house, both technically and creatively
- Collaborate with all creative departments within TV Land to help build consistency across our brand and share resources
- Animate, composite, and help in the design of TV Land promotional pieces and graphic elements
- Understand, work within and further establish the Motion Graphics Group’s procedures
- Educate Art Directors, Producers, Editors and Designers on the capabilities of motion graphics
- Keep on top of what is going on in the field of television by monitoring the look of the competition and using that information to inform the work
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience as broadcast animator
- Expert level experience in: AfterEffects, Cinema 4D, Photoshop, Illustrator
- Working knowledge in: Flash, Maya, Final Cut Pro, 2D/3D tracking
- Experience in compositing techniques and best practices
- Knowledge of typography and layout techniques
- Excellent trouble shooting skills for video production problems
