Description
The Tracking and Layout Artist is responsible for the recreation of
the sets, objects and camera motion of a shot in a 3D software
environment to match the live-action background plate images. Skills and
requirements
Skills and requirements
- 3+ years of experience working as a tracking and layout artist, or equivalent
- Experience in high-end VFX production
- Balanced understanding of the technical and creative aspects of a shot
- Knowledge of the structure of 3D production pipelines
- Mastery of 3DE or other high-end 3D tracking software packages is essential, knowledge of XSI a plus
- Good eye for composition, color, lighting and perspective
- Good understanding of the principles of cinematography including use of lenses, positioning and moving the camera, etc;
- Task driven, self-motivated and proactive
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet delivery deadlines
- Problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills
- Curiosity and openess to improve skillset
