SENIOR SIGNAL INTEGRITY ENGINEER #1619620
The signal integrity team at NVIDIA spans multiple disciplines allowing individual contributors to gain a broad exposure to challenging signal and power integrity projects. You will be part of a world class signal integrity team working on cutting edge projects across all of NVIDIA?s product line.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Channel and power delivery modeling & simulations in both time and frequency domain for signal and power integrity analyses across the entire product line (GPU, mobile, workstation)
- Communicate signal & power integrity guidelines and requirements to other teams and external design partners.
- Guide and influence product development at the chip, substrate, and board level based on performance, power, and cost tradeoffs
- Characterization tests and lab measurements to correlate simulation analyses
- Develop new simulation and correlation methodologies to improve model to hardware correlation
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BSEE w/ at least 2 years of experience or MS/PhD (preferred)
- Solid understanding of electromagnetic and transmission line theory
- Working knowledge of power integrity fundamentals
- Proficiency w/ HFSS and Cadence package & PCB tools
- Exposure to lab equipment including TDR?s and oscilloscopes
- Good communications skills and willingness to work as part of a team
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Previous experience analyzing signal and power integrity for high speed electrical interfaces
- Previous experience w/ Hspice & Matlab
- Circuit / Mixed Signal design experience
- Familiarity with VNA measurements
- Knowledge of memory & serial communication standards (PCI-express, USB, SATA, DDR,?)
- Knowledge of PLL & clock distribution architectures
