Automotive Chip Solution Engineers are team members responsible for productizing NVIDIA's cutting edge Automotive chips. Primary responsibilities are to work hands on with new NVIDIA hardware to ensure it meets design, performance, feature, and quality objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hardware Bringup: As a member of the automotive chip team, bring-up and test NVIDIA's chips using knowledge of system architecture, laboratory methodologies, experimentation and measurement techniques.
- Hardware Qualification: Work alongside the chip & board designers to verify new NVIDIA hardware meets design objectives and is ready for mass production. Employ state of the art techniques for ensuring hardware designs meet specification and quality standards.
- Design Review: Participate in the design reviews of new products to understand the product before prototypes are built and provide feedback to chip and board designers. Communicate what is found in the lab to influence current and future designs.
- Troubleshoot: When a HW design or product issue is encountered, test and prove hypotheses in the lab to understand the problem, and work with the various organizations within NVIDIA to reach resolution through innovative solutions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum GPA: 3.5
- BS or MS in EE, CE, Systems Engineering or Engineering Science/Physics, with an emphasis in computer architecture, digital design, circuit analysis, and device physics.
- Excellent problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Experienced with lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers).
- Experienced with C/C++, Perl, Windows, and Linux.
- Exposure to BIOS, drivers, and other software applications.
- Understanding of digital display interfaces, high speed memory interfaces, or PCI Express a plus.
