Following the development of many successful titles on iPhone such as the Modern Combat, Dungeon Hunter, Gangstar and Asphalt franchises, Gameloft Montreal is currently seeking a "Game Monetization Specialist" to collaborate on its next generation of iPhone, iPad and Android games.
Gameloft creates games for all digital platforms, including mobile phones, smartphones and tablets (including Apple® iOS and Android® devices), set-top boxes and connected TVs. Founded in 1999 and a top innovator in its field, Gameloft distributes its games in over 100 countries.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Studio Manager, the successful candidate will be in charge of defining the monetisation strategy for the games for which they will be responsible, with the aim of optimising revenue. They will identify and develop purchase drivers (incentives) within the games' economic frameworks and will provide recommendations – with data to support their recommendations – regarding design, adjustments, and prices, to improve the games' financial results.
• Work closely with production teams to define monetisation strategies
• Define indicators and statistics to evaluate the games' performances on all platforms and networks
• Constantly analyse strategies and propose new solutions to optimise/maximise game revenue
• Handle the implementation and monitoring of development with production teams to help define the games' monetisation features
• Optimise acquisition of consumers through advertising campaigns and sponsorships
• Analyse and compare with the competition
• Propose a balanced range of products that satisfies customers' needs by reflecting on the product relationships, durability, life cycles and ideal availability time
• Manage the rates offered and the role of each product, and establish a strategy for selling the most expensive products
• Create promotional and communication tools to ensure retention of players
• Actively collaborate in the design process to promote retention and monetisation
• Monitor, analyse, and manage the virtual economy of the various platforms
• Create and manage marketing strategies for virtual goods
Requirements
• Education in Marketing, Game Economy Design or a related field
• 2 to 3 years of experience in monetising or virtual economy management in the context of video games
• A major hit title to their name
• Functional English
Skills and Profile
• Analytical mind
• Proficient at data modeling
• Extensive knowledge of video games and social networks
• Excellent understanding of the free-to-play business model involving micro-transactions
• Strong expertise in the Excel environment
