SILICON VALIDATION ENGINEER #1506292 Working in NVIDIA's Mobile Hardware System Engineering group, you will be responsible for bring up, validation & debug of future Tegra products. Work as part of a team with logic, circuit design, architects & PCB engineers to ensure successful product development with aggressive product cycles. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Participate in silicon bringup & post-silicon validation of new Tegra hardware with the objective of driving product to mass production - Own specific chip interfaces and perform: * Interface characterization to ensure electrical compliance to industry standards (MIPI CSI/DSI, HDMI, USB 2.0/3.0, eMMC, SDIO etc..) * Functional stress testing to facilitate sku/speed binning and stability improvement * Validation process improvement by expanding on laboratory methodologies, automation & measurement techniques - Debug activities include: * Driving root-causes analysis efforts of hardware failures through lab experimentation and collaboration with other teams within NVIDIA * Resolving silicon and board issues related to logic design & signal integrity * Supporting Application Engineering to resolve high exposure customer issues in time critical, high pressure environments - Feedback design improvements for future product based on what is found in the lab MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - BS or MS degree in EE/CE - Good knowledge of signal integrity and analog interface characterization - Well versed in the usage of electrical measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, BERTs & spectrum analyzers - Familiar in debugging platform level boards /systems for portable devices - Basic understanding of PCB layout and high speed board design issues - Basic scripting skills (Perl & JavaScript) EOE
