NVIDIA's Professional Visualization and Design business unit is looking for a talented individual to run our public relations program. Our customers range from large enterprises to small and medium-sized businesses, but they are united in that they are the best in the world at what they do - companies like Tesla Motors, Pixar, Shell and General Electric.
You will lead our efforts to positively and strategically engage with targeted press, bloggers, reviewers, and customers. This will include all forms of press communication, facilitation of product reviews, producing customer success stories and managing our external agency. The product lines for this BU include Quadro professional graphics, sold primarily into the Manufacturing, AEC and Media & Entertainment industries and NVIDIA GRID graphics processors, which enable service providers and large enterprises to deliver professional graphics virtually from a private or public Cloud.
NVIDIA is a company that thrives on collaboration across teams, and in this role you will interact with multiple product and vertical marketing teams, PR managers from around the globe, executive staff members including the CEO, and NVIDIA corporate communications.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on communications professional, whose superior writing skills and knowledge public relations best practices will help multiple product and vertical marketing teams to articulate NVIDIA's added-value across to a diverse set of audiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set the PR strategy and agenda for the business unit
- Act as the central point of contact for the media and brief them on NVIDIA professional products and solutions, which include the Quadro and GRID product brands, among others.
- Write and/or manage the writing of news releases and blogs, and distribute them to targeted media.
- Develop success stories and testimonials around the use of these products primarily into the Manufacturing, Architecture, Media & Entertainment, Oil & Gas and Medical industries.
- Brief global PR and marketing teams on a weekly basis and ensure alignment on strategies, tactics and messaging
- Build and manage relationships with the PR organizations of our business partners, such as Dell, HP and Lenovo; software partners such as Adobe, Autodesk, Citrix or VMware, and our reseller channel.
- Manage our external PR agency/agencies and other related vendors.
- Participate as a team member in creating and articulating the product messaging for all NVIDIA products sold into the target markets.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Client-side experience managing public relations for a high-tech company
- Experience with at least one of our targeted vertical markets or experience in communicating to the broad IT community.
- Bonus points for computer graphics or virtualization experience.
- BS/BA in Public Relations, Communications or Marketing
- 7 years of experience
