mobile-gaming development studio in Montreal, is seeking a Game retention
manager to join its Production team.
Gameloft creates games for
all digital platforms, including mobile phones, smartphones and tablets
(including Apple® iOS and Android® devices), set-top boxes and connected TVs.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Studio Manager, the successful
candidate will help develop core competitive features that are targeted to
customers. They will employ a high level of detail and will analyse telemetry
data from current and back-catalogue games in an effort to understand game balancing
and user behaviours and to modify game parameters on a daily/weekly basis. All
these steps will serve to improve the game experience data in an effort to
maximise acquisition, retention, and monetisation.
- Develop a user experience that favours customer retention and
acquisition through the development and integration of a player retention
program
- Identify a game’s target
audience and its positioning, values, and selling points
- Build sales models and buyer profiles, and optimise product
offerings and price points using free-to-play-model strategies
- Make strategic recommendations on necessary fundamental changes in
order to drive profitability, retention, and ongoing project success
- Recommend system designs and balancing of free-to-play and social games
to maximise retention, participation and monetisation
- Conduct market research and
benchmarking, and handle game analytics within the mobile gaming space
(iOS/Android)
- Gauge and analyse feedback,
behaviour and market acceptance from game users, then share the results
and recommendations with the production teams and top managers for each
game
- Coordinate community
management and customer care activities/messaging, as well as define
specific game customer-care policies when needed
- Prioritise bug fixes and
user experience improvements, and follow up on the game update schedule
with the production team and Monetisation Manager
Requirements
- Education in marketing, Game Economy Design or a
related field

At least
3 years’ experience in consumer marketing, ideally for online entertainment or
social products
- At least one successful project released
·
Good communication
skills with an excellent grasp of the English language
·
Able to provide
original and effective solutions to improve customer retention
Skills and Profile
· Knowledge
and passion for video games, from hardcore-gamer titles to casual social games,
and for entertainment in general
·
Strong analytical
skills and thoroughness
·
Good data modeling
skills
·
Able to work with a
wide range of disciplines (business, game design, analytics, etc.)
- Expert knowledge of video games and social
networks
- Excellent grasp of the free-to-play
business model and micro-transaction-driven games
- Strong expertise in the Excel
environment
