Senior Performance Engineer - Power System
Description
Will be a key member of a team responsible to find, quantify, and drive GPU and system performance/Watt optimizations. The team will be responsible to:
- Identify ways to improve performance/Watt and performance/mm2
- Quantify the benefits and costs of each performance/Watt optimization
- Develop flows that identify and track performance/Watt inefficiencies
- Provide guidance to the architecture, hardware, and software teams to optimize power and area efficiency
- Build an architectural performance/Watt and performance/mm2 model of the GPU and other system components (DRAM, CPU, etc)
- Work with the architecture team to develop a set of benchmarks that represent GPU workloads
- Develop a methodology to refine the models and correlate them to the different stages of implementation
- Determine leakage and dynamic power scaling across different process nodes, voltage, temperature, and VTs
- Estimate the benefits of various performance/Watt and performance/mm2 optimizations
- Identify and analyze graphics workload data and how it affects GPU power
