Post-Production Supervisor

Description

·       Manages post-production staff, technicians and third-party post-production resources in the delivery of post-production elements.

·       Manages time for all editorial and post-production services, both in-house and with outside suppliers.

·       Maintains a working relationship with freelance personnel and all outside post-production facilities, and negotiates schedules,  costs, and working conditions with them.

·       Supervises editorial sessions when necessary: i.e. film to tape transfer, video editing and paintbox, sound mixing, music production and mixing, and voice recording.

·       Works with Production Management to assess, budget and manage post-production needs, schedules and costs.

·       Reports cost overruns, projected and actual, to Production, Studio management and Accounting.

·       Maintains and shares a weekly report of all activities involving post-production.

·       Negotiates, contracts and manages outside vendors, contractors and post-production services including sound editors, mixers, sound houses and labs. Tracks deliverables to and from these services.

·       Fulfills requests for music composers, sound effects designers and other post-production specialists and tracks deliverables.

·       Insures technology standards are met for delivery.
