Editorial / IO Assistant
Description
This role
is designed to be the step before advancing to the role of editor. The core responsibilities for this person
will be working with our different teams to ensure all deliverables/postings
are met. This includes but not limited
to creating all digital deliverables, assisting tape layoffs, quality
controlling everything that leaves the department making sure all levels and
time codes are accurate, creating both DVD's and blu-ray's. This person will also prep workstations and
work closely with editors making sure that all transcoding is taken care of and
audio is in sync prior to the editors arrival.
As well as prepping EDL's for online and color correcting sessions. This person will also help troubleshoot
problems within the editorial/IO department.
They will work with other team members in the
editorial department to help organize everything and ensure the
archival/tracking process is running smoothly, and assist with logging material
as it enters and leaves the studio. When
applicable this person will edit boardomatics, work on pitches, pick up edits
after editors bookings wrap, etc. This
person must be a team player who is hard-working, motivated, organized and ok
with putting in long hours when it is needed. This person will also communicate status updates to ensure that the
editorial department stays on schedule.
