Position Summary

The Render Lead is responsible for producing the final images in Pixar Canada's production pipeline. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, rendering the final shots of the film, educating and supporting other departments with their rendering needs, informing and executing shot optimizations, managing stereo output and localization, as well as running the final review of film material. In addition, the Render Lead manages and guides the careers of the render team. The Render Lead reports to the Supervising Technical Director, with whom he or she strategizes technical optimizations within the pipeline, and explores methods to maximize render hardware utilization.
